Green Booklet Chapt 6 and 7

Based on chapters 6 and 7 I learned that credit is your reputation for financial responsibility. This can entitle you to be trusted when buying or borrowing money. When the lender believes you can repay your debt then they will give you more money. Credit is also the time you have to pay off your debt. Once you pay off the debt and can be trusted your credit score/limit increases and you will be able to borrow even more money.
As a lender you need to make sure you are aware of the applicants previous financial activities. They should show that this individual has been paying off debts in the past. The lender should also know what the applicant needs the loan for and if its for a good cause. As a lender you must also be aware of the applicants credit and employment history. They must have collateral and have the capacity to repay the loan.

Financial Responsibility

Financial Responsibility is basically managing you money the proper way. Having financial stability can go a long way in improving your life. You can manage your debt better when you use your money wisely. If the bank made a mistake and gave me more money than what I was supposed to receive I would immediately send it back  and report it to the bank. If I keep the check knowing that  there is a mistake I know that there will be severe consequences. In order to get out of debt you need too get rid of maxed credit cards. You also need to record your spending, make a budget based on what you spend, figure out how much you own and then start paying off your debt. These are essential tips to maintain financial responsibility.

How to Start an eBusiness

In order to create an eBusiness you must follow a few steps. The first thing you need to do is plan your goals. Start dreaming  about what you want to accomplish. You need to decide on a business. After you've done that then creating a business plan will be much easier. A business plan identifies  your business, its goals and objectives. Once you've finished planning for your business you can now select a domain name. The domain name needs to be correlated with your business/product you are trying to advertise. Next you must select Meta-Tags. Meta-Tags are the keywords, title, and description you choose describe your website.
The next step to take is actually designing the website. You have a few ways of doing this. Either design it yourself, hire a web designer, or have the Web host design the webpage from templates. After you have the web site you will need to select a web host. You can own/operate your own web server. Hosting services offer certain features for a monthly fee. Next make sure your site is easy and simple for customers to navigate. Making purchases should be easy, safe and convenient. Whether it be through credit card, online shopping cart or another payment it should be almost effortless to execute transactions with a client (Track customer orders). After you done that make sure that your business/service provides website security. It is costly but will benefit you company in the long run. Also your web store must have contact information in order to communicate with customers. Information such as telephone number, e-mail, physical address, and mailing address. Last but not least develop a marketing strategy for your E-Business. Submit your URL to big search engines such as Google, Yahoo! & MSN to help advertise your websites.

Peer Portfolio Review #1 (Zephin)

I think that the layout of this portfolio is well done. I like the use of colors. Every page is easy to navigate to. Except the Project page which doesn't work. The Lab page could have no scrolling as well.

Career Path

I am very pleased with the results I got. I know exactly what I want to do for the future as a career. I now know the salary, types of people I will be working with and other job opportunities. The 3 profiles all line up with what I want to do in my future career. All I need to do now is work hard and put in a lot of effort. Im leaning towards being a Professional musician more than being a director or an arranger. But at least now I know what areas to research more about.

Industry Sector Exploration

The career path that I am choosing is Musicians, Instrumental. Since I prefer playing music over arranging and directing I believe that this is the right choice for me. There are many aspects to this career choice. Some of these things include:
  • Improvise music during performances.
  • Compose original music such as popular songs, symphonies, or sonatas.
  • Teach music for specific instruments.
  • Direct bands or orchestras.
  • Make or participate in recordings in music studios.
  • Promote their own or their group's music by participating in media interviews and other activities.
  • Transpose music to alternate keys, or to fit individual styles or purposes.
  • Provide the musical background for live shows such as ballets, operas, musical theatre, and cabarets.
  • Audition for orchestras, bands, or other musical groups.
  • Play musical instruments as soloists, or as members or guest artists of musical groups such as orchestras, ensembles, or bands.
You also need to have many traits such as critical thinking, speaking, time management, coordination, and active listening.
